	The Academy The Academy is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver Washington on Evergreen Boulevard, just west of Officers Row and I-5 in the heart of Vancouver. Join our family of 60-plus businesses located at The Academy. Office space, event rooms, meeting rooms, conference rooms, a wedding chapel, and parking are available at this historic building. History The Academy was originally built in 1871 by Mother Joseph of the Sisters of Providence and dedicated as the House of Providence in 1873. The bricks used in the construction of The Academy building were supplied by Lowell Hidden. The Academy opened in 1874 as a girls' boarding school. In 1969 the Hidden family purchased The Academy.
